Privacy policy

This policy explains what FY9 collects and why. FY9 is operated by Reliable Software Technology (A2Z Tools), R.T. Nagar, Bengaluru, Karnataka 560032, India. It applies to fy9.in, the FY9 dashboard and API, and to short links and bio pages served by FY9.

Account holders

We store your name, email address, password (as a one-way hash), workspace membership and billing records. Payment card and bank details are handled by our payment provider (Razorpay) and never reach our servers.

People who click a link

When someone opens an FY9 short link we record the time, the link, the device type, browser and operating system (from the user agent), the referring website's domain, the browser's preferred language and, when our network provider supplies it, an approximate country. We do not store IP addresses. To estimate unique visitors we keep a keyed hash of the IP address and browser that changes every day, so a visitor cannot be followed from one day to the next.

How long we keep data

Detailed click records are kept for the analytics period of the link owner's plan (7 days on Free) and then deleted; daily totals are kept. Account data is kept while the account exists.

Cookies

FY9 uses a sign-in cookie and a security cookie. On the FY9 website and dashboard we also use Google Analytics, which sets its own cookies, to understand how the site is used (pages visited, approximate location, device); see how Google uses this data. Google Analytics is not loaded on short-link redirects or on bio pages. We do not use advertising cookies. If optional advertising or affiliate placements are ever switched on, this policy will be updated first.

Your choices

You can export your links and analytics, and ask us to delete your account by writing to [email protected].

Your rights under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023

You can ask us for a summary of the personal data we hold about you, to correct or update it, to erase it (unless we must keep it by law) and to nominate another person to exercise these rights if you cannot. Write to [email protected] from your account email. You may also complain to the Data Protection Board of India once it accepts complaints.

Disclosure required by law

We disclose information about an account (for example the links it created and its contact and payment details) only when the law requires or permits it: to comply with a court order or a lawful request from a Government agency, to report or investigate fraud, phishing, spam or other offences, or to protect users and the Service. Information about content removed for breaking our Terms is preserved for at least 180 days as required by the Intermediary Rules.

Link owners

If you create links, you decide why and how your visitors' data is collected through them, and you are responsible for telling them where the law requires it. FY9 processes that data on your behalf as described above.
