Terms of service

Last updated: 18 October 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and Reliable Software Technology ("A2Z Tools", "FY9", "we", "us"), R.T. Nagar, Bengaluru, Karnataka 560032, India, for the use of fy9.in, branded domains connected to FY9, the FY9 dashboard, bio pages, QR codes, the API and every related service (together, the "Service"). This document is an electronic record under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made under it, and is published in accordance with Rule 3(1) of the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021. It does not need a physical or digital signature.

By creating an account, creating a link or QR code, making a payment or otherwise using the Service, you accept these Terms, our Privacy policy, our Acceptable use policy and our Cancellation and refunds policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Who may use FY9

  • You must be at least 18 years old and competent to contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872.
  • If you use FY9 for a business or another person, you confirm you are authorised to bind them, and "you" includes them.
  • You must give accurate information and keep your password, API keys and sign-in methods secure. Everything done through your account or keys is your responsibility. Tell us at once at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorised use.
  • We may refuse, suspend or close any account at our discretion where we reasonably believe the Service is being misused.

2. What FY9 is, and what it is not

FY9 is an intermediary within the meaning of Section 2(1)(w) of the Information Technology Act, 2000. We provide technology that redirects a short link or QR code to an address chosen by the user. We do not create, select, edit, check in advance or endorse the content at any destination, and we do not initiate the transmission or select its receiver. Users alone decide what they link to and with whom they share it.

3. Your responsibility for your links

  • You are solely and fully responsible for every link, QR code, bio page, alias, domain, message and destination you create, share or connect, and for every way you use them, including in SMS, WhatsApp, email, social media, advertising and print.
  • You must have every right, licence and consent needed for your destinations, brand names, logos and domains.
  • You must comply with all laws that apply to you, including the Information Technology Act, 2000, the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, the Copyright Act, 1957, the Trade Marks Act, 1999, the Telecom Commercial Communications Customer Preference Regulations issued by TRAI, and RBI and payment-system rules where you link to payments.
  • Shortening a link never makes it trustworthy. FY9 does not verify destinations for anyone who clicks your links.

4. Prohibited use

You must not use, or allow anyone to use, the Service to host, display, upload, link to, publish, transmit, store or share any information that:

  • belongs to another person and to which you have no right;
  • is obscene, pornographic, paedophilic, invasive of another's privacy (including bodily privacy), insulting or harassing on the basis of gender, racially or ethnically objectionable, relating to or encouraging money laundering or gambling, or promoting enmity between groups on the grounds of religion or caste with the intent to incite violence;
  • is harmful to children;
  • infringes any patent, trademark, copyright or other proprietary right;
  • deceives or misleads the recipient about the origin of a message, or knowingly and intentionally communicates misinformation or information that is patently false or untrue;
  • impersonates another person, business, bank, government body or brand;
  • threatens the unity, integrity, defence, security or sovereignty of India, friendly relations with foreign States or public order, causes incitement to an offence, prevents investigation of an offence or insults another nation;
  • contains software virus or any other computer code, file or program designed to interrupt, destroy or limit the functionality of any computer resource;
  • is an online game that is not permitted under law, or advertises or promotes one;
  • violates any law in force in India or where it is accessed.

This specifically includes phishing, fake login or payment pages, malware, scam or fraudulent offers, fake delivery or KYC messages, loan or investment fraud, unsolicited bulk messages (spam) and any attempt to hide a harmful destination behind a short link. The full list is in the Acceptable use policy, which forms part of these Terms.

5. How we enforce these Terms

  • We run automated checks (our own rules and, where configured, Google's threat lists) on links when they are created and afterwards, and people review reports. We may disable, block, redirect to a warning page or delete any link, QR code, bio page, domain, API key or account, immediately and without prior notice, if we believe it breaks these Terms or the law, or puts users, FY9 or third parties at risk.
  • We may block a destination host for every user, and keep a record of blocked content and the account behind it.
  • An account closed or suspended for abuse loses its paid plan, credits and features without any refund, and may not open a new account.
  • On receiving actual knowledge through an order of a court of competent jurisdiction or a notice from the appropriate Government or its authorised agency, we will remove or disable access to the information concerned within 36 hours, as required by Rule 3(1)(d) of the Intermediary Rules.
  • We will preserve information and associated records for at least 180 days after removal, or longer when required by a court or authorised agency, and we will provide information and assistance to Government agencies lawfully authorised for investigative, protective or cyber-security activities, within the time the law requires (currently 72 hours of a written order).
  • We may report suspected crimes to CERT-In, the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal (cybercrime.gov.in) or the police, and disclose the account holder's details to them as permitted by law.
  • Where we have reason to believe an account is used for fraud, we may withhold any amount payable to it (for example referral credits) pending investigation.

6. Plans, payments and taxes

  • Prices are in Indian rupees (INR) and include applicable taxes. Where GST applies, the tax portion is shown on your invoice.
  • Plans are prepaid for a month or a year and do not renew automatically. You choose whether to renew.
  • Payments are processed by Razorpay (Razorpay Software Private Limited) under its own terms. We never see or store your card, UPI PIN or bank login. We are not responsible for delays, failures, duplicate debits or charges caused by your bank, card network, UPI app or the payment gateway; we will help you raise them with the right party.
  • An order is confirmed only when we receive a successful payment confirmation from Razorpay. If an amount is debited but the order is not confirmed, it is normally reversed by your bank automatically; see the refunds policy.
  • Refunds are given only as set out in the Cancellation and refunds policy.
  • Chargebacks: if you raise a chargeback or payment dispute without first contacting [email protected], or for a payment that was properly charged, we may suspend the account until the dispute is resolved and recover the amount and any fees. Fraudulent payments are reported to the payment provider and the authorities.
  • Prices may change for future purchases. A period you have already paid for keeps the price you paid.

7. When a paid plan ends

You keep paid features for a 7-day grace period. After that the workspace uses the Free plan's limits for creating and editing. Links and QR codes you already created keep redirecting unless they are removed under section 5 or you delete them; only premium settings can no longer be changed, and new items follow the Free plan's limits. Anonymous links (created without an account) expire as shown when they are created and may be removed at any time.

8. Upgrades and downgrades

Upgrades take effect immediately and the unused value of your current period is deducted from the price. Downgrades take effect when the current period ends.

9. Intellectual property

  • You keep ownership of your content. You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, process, display and transmit it only as needed to run, secure and improve the Service and to comply with law.
  • FY9, A2Z Tools, our logos, software, designs and documentation belong to us or our licensors. You may not copy, resell, frame, reverse-engineer or create a competing service from them, or scrape the Service, except as allowed through the documented API.
  • To report content that infringes your copyright or trademark, write to the Grievance Officer (section 15) with the details required by law.

10. API and fair use

API keys are personal to your workspace, must be kept secret and are subject to your plan's limits, rate limits and the developer documentation. We may throttle or suspend traffic that endangers the Service, including automated mass creation of links.

11. Availability and changes to the Service

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We work to keep it available and secure but do not promise uninterrupted, error-free or loss-free service, except where agreed in a signed Enterprise agreement. We may change, add or remove features. Keep your own copy of important data; you can export your links and analytics from the dashboard.

12. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We are not responsible for the content, safety, accuracy or availability of any destination, for how third parties use links you share, or for analytics figures, which are estimates (see the FAQs).

13. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, business, goodwill, data or reputation, however caused, even if we were told they were possible.
  • Our total liability for all claims relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the three (3) months before the event giving rise to the claim, or ₹1,000 if you paid nothing.
  • Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Indian law, including your rights as a consumer under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

14. Indemnity

You agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless Reliable Software Technology, A2Z Tools, FY9 and their proprietors, employees, contractors and partners from and against all claims, demands, notices, proceedings, penalties, losses, damages, costs and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or relating to: (a) your links, QR codes, bio pages, domains, destinations or content; (b) your use or misuse of the Service, including spam, phishing, fraud or infringement; (c) your breach of these Terms or any law; or (d) any claim by a person who received or clicked a link you created or shared. We may take over the defence of any claim at your cost, and you will cooperate with us.

15. Grievance Officer and complaints

In accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and Rule 3(2) of the Intermediary Rules, complaints about content, links, these Terms or the processing of personal data may be sent to:

  • Grievance Officer, FY9 (Reliable Software Technology)
  • Address: R.T. Nagar, Bengaluru, Karnataka 560032, India
  • Email: [email protected] (subject line: "Grievance")
  • Working hours: Monday to Friday, 10:00 to 18:00 IST

We acknowledge complaints within 24 hours and resolve them within 15 days of receipt. Requests to remove content that exposes a person's private area, shows them in full or partial nudity or in a sexual act, or is an impersonation including artificially morphed images, are acted on within 24 hours. Reports of phishing or spam links can also be made through the Report abuse form. Please include the full short link and, where relevant, the message in which you received it.

16. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access under section 5 or if you breach these Terms. Sections 3, 5, 6 (chargebacks), 9, 12, 13, 14, 17 and 18 survive termination.

17. Governing law, disputes and jurisdiction

  • These Terms are governed by the laws of India.
  • Before starting any proceedings, please write to [email protected] so we can try to resolve the matter informally within 30 days.
  • Any dispute that is not resolved will be referred to final and binding arbitration by a sole arbitrator appointed by us, under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996. The seat and venue of arbitration is Bengaluru, Karnataka, and the language is English.
  • Subject to the arbitration clause, the courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka have exclusive jurisdiction.
  • Nothing in this section prevents a consumer from approaching a Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission where the law gives them that right, or prevents us from seeking urgent injunctive relief in any court.

18. General

  • Force majeure: we are not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including outages of hosting, network, DNS, payment or email providers, government action, or natural events.
  • Changes to these Terms: we may update these Terms. Material changes are announced in the dashboard or by email before they take effect; continuing to use the Service after that means you accept them.
  • Severability: if a court finds any provision invalid, the rest remains in force.
  • No waiver: not enforcing a right is not a waiver of it.
  • Assignment: you may not transfer your account without our written consent; we may assign these Terms to a successor of the business.
  • Entire agreement: these Terms and the policies linked above are the entire agreement about the Service, unless you have a signed Enterprise agreement, which prevails where it differs.
  • Notices: we send notices to your account email; you send notices to [email protected].
